About Me

Before training to become a counsellor in Epsom, my background was in a high-pressure corporate environment, with plenty of experience of working with different cultures in various countries including sales teams, marketing executives and senior management. I bring this experience and interest into my work with individuals, couples, and groups, supporting their growth through creating an environment of trust, compassion, experience and wisdom. My knowledge and understanding that comes with balancing a challenging work life with a family and social life means I can understand your struggles and walk alongside you as we work through them together.

After training, and whilst building my private practice, I worked as a volunteer with several groups dedicated to people's emotional well-being, including a leading counselling agency in London – supporting many clients over a number of years. I have also been a trusted advocate for mental health in several of the corporate businesses where I have worked. Since then, private work with clients has become my main focus. In addition to working as a therapist in Surrey, I also work confidentially with corporate clients in supporting the mental health of their employees in today's ever-changing work environment.

I am a registered and fully verified member of The Counselling Directory, and Psychology Today and a regular contributor to their published articles.

I have continued my counselling training to support my clients needs incorporating CBT into my practice. The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) provides independent, evidence-based guidance for the NHS on the most effective, proven treatments. CBT is recommended in the NICE guidelines for many different problems, including anxiety disorders (including panic attacks), depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I offer concessionary rates for NHS staff and emergency services personnel.
